Aside from bug fixes, this update contains new tools and features to help you share your Cyber Dust profile with friends on other networks as well as an improved Blast system. In this post, we’ll take you through the update to help you use Cyber Dust to its full potential:
- Easily share your profile to your social networks and contacts.
- Blasts that are not marked public do not have previews.
- UI updates
Share Your Profile On Other Networks
One of the best ways to bring your friends and followers over to Cyber Dust is to share your profile. With the new update for iOS, it is easier than ever to share your profile with friends and contacts on other networks. To use this feature, tap the red “more” button located at the bottom right corner of the Cyber Dust home screen. At the top of the screen, you will see your profile picture, bio, website, and share profile tools.
On this page, you will find the option to share your Cyber Dust profile on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or by email. Clicking any of these four buttons will take you to a page where you can create a customized message to invite your friends to Cyber Dust.
Clicking the Twitter button will launch a Tweet box populated with your profile image and a Cyber Dust invitation message. You can edit the message to anything within the 140 character limit.
Clicking the Facebook button with launch a post box just like the Twitter button.
Clicking the Instagram button will open a menu at the bottom of your screen. Click the Instagram icon in the menu to launch Instagram, where you can post your profile image with your own custom message.
Clicking the email button will open your Mail app with a pre-made invitation message. Edit the “to” recipient at the top from “firstname.lastname@example.org” to the contact of your choosing.
Blast Privacy Update
Blasts are an important part of Cyber Dust, and we listened to user feedback regarding Blast previews. With the new update, users can turn off Blast previews. Additionally, non-public Blasts no longer show previews.
To turn off Blast previews, tap the “more” button on the bottom right corner of the Cyber Dust home screen. Turn the “Blast Preview” button off to hide Blast previews.
Additionally, non-public Blasts (Blasts that cannot be reblasted) no longer show previews. Below, you will see that “Popular” sent a non-public Blast, so you only see what type of Blast you received. Below, Omar sent a public Blast, resulting in a Blast preview.
We know that our users like sleek design, so we redesigned Swipe View in the latest update to make responding and interacting with Blast messages easier than ever. Check out a preview below.
